Trying out new platform for sharing travel photography as limited edition artworks.

THP Travels | Ramblings and travel photography.

It’s been a bit like a dream that over the last few years I have been steadily been selling limited edition art prints of my favourite photographs from my travels around the world – mostly through Artfinder, but also some direct sales. Many of the images you might recognise as they would have been posted here on my travel blog (thptravels) before.

It’s a very rewarding feeling when a new order comes through and I really enjoy the process of getting the prints packed and shipped to my customers, wherever in the world they may be based – and that is the beautiful thing about selling on online platforms, i feel privileged to be able to say my artworks are hanging as wall art in people’s living rooms and offices around the world.

Just the other week I started building up and testing a new marketplace on…

Architectural talk by Paul Russell.

Architect Paul Russell (from Russel & May Associates) talking about past projects and the challenges faced, as well as the rewards of the process.

It was a fully packed room last Tuesday at the Greenwich B2B Link n’Drink (associated with the Southeast London Chambers of Commerce) at the Greenwich Tavern when architect Paul Russel presented some highlights of the projects Russel And May Associates have completed in the local area around Greenwich. The audience were visibly engaged and at the end gave a huge applause, so the presentation was most definitely a success.

A Very Happy New Year!

Chiang Rai flower decorations.

Wishing everyone a Very Happy New Year! May it bring you all prosperity and happiness 🙂

An image I really like from my travels in Thailand over New Years a few years back – obviously it’s been slightly modified to give the right message. Love how they use lights to decorate any and every thing for the holidays in South East Asia.

Setting up lights for business portraits.

Time-lapse video of me setting up studio lights for a location headshots shoot for a local business.

Thought it be fun to video myself as I was setting up my location studio lights in preparation for a portrait shoot for a local business here on the Royal Arsenal Riverside in Woolwich. Many people are very surprised when they come in for a sitting and see the light set-up, but to ensure a well lit and sharp portrait it is necessary to use the right light, and also importantly the right lens for a good headshot. Setting up and breaking down the studio lights can sometimes be the most time-consuming part of a job which a lot of people might not realise.

A very unique corporate PR event at The Chambers of Flavour.

A very entertaining afternoon corporate PR event with The Austrian National Tourist Office (ANTO) at The Chambers of Flavour.

A safety briefing by a crazy scientist at the secret location of the very marvellous Chambers of Flavour. Really a fun experience I can recommend to everyone. It’s a culinary experience with a twist. Literally, you’re part of a theatrical peace while having a gourmet meal. Expect to be part of some audience participation, but the quicker you get into it – or the faster you drink your cocktail – the more fun it will be. The food is excellent but the circumstances are very bizarre, so if you have the chance to experience this place make the best of it and enjoy the ride. A really unique and fantastical setting for a corporate PR event. Well done to the Austrian National Tourist Office (ANTO) for organising.

An alternative Christmas party with Village Green.

A great way to finish before the Christmas holidays with a country walk with the guys at the design agency Village Green.

Leading up to the Christmas holidays I had the pleasure of joining the team at Village Green on their annual county walk as an excellent alternative to the traditional Christmas party. A 27 km walk mostly along the river Ouse/Cam from Ely to Waterbeach before catching a lift to Cambridge for an excellent dinner and a well deserved rest for our tired feet.
